Stafford Scott, Tottenham Community Activist, states on Sky News states that not only did Police fail to communicate with peacfully protesting residents to defuse the situation in Tottenham over the killing of Mark Duggan, the Police also inexplicably left a number of their vehicles unattended in the area that effectively acted as an open invite to be smashed up - as they subsequently were.

  • Couldn't a Formal Letter demanding swift actions be a first step in the process of getting answers, instead of a gathering of protesters? From the interviewee's response, he is aware that 'Mark' was no [angel] - That not to say the nature of his killing does not warrant a thorough investigation, BUT when you know a person was not an upstanding citizen, then go through the proper channel of seeking redress. The riots that followed after ONLY made it worst.

  • ..what do you mean a lawful inquiry? What do you think was going to happen? You have absolutely no idea what the lawful reason was to carry this out. Yet somehow you know best - just like Stafford Scott. You think this is a communist state - go live in China...you don't know how good you have it in this country. Thanks for the invite to get my head out of my arse, but feel free to get out of the 6th form...

  • gorgeousdzastr - At last someone with something constructive to say. We all have, and are entitled to, our opinions and I appreciate yours.

  • @TheDm49 without investigations it will be a Communist state. Regardless there is a DUE process. Not judgement and execution at the hand of a hired assassin. That is still murder. If it was in a sock, what LAWFUL reason did the police have to pull this stunt anyhow? Get your heads out of your asses, and begin LAWFUL inquiries! The "LEGAL" aspects are not even relevant. "Legality is not Reality" <maxims Lawful is real!

  • benjib00 - at least I'm a bitch that supports herself without relying on state help, doesn't steal, riot, commit arson and don't need to carry a gun in my sock to get 'respect'. SS is doing nothing to improve race relations in this country - it just gives the ignorant racists and bigots even more ammunition .. which makes life harder for us all.

  • @TheDm49 Little bitch.

  • Why is an investigation necessary? The man was carrying a gun.

In his sock? So? He was still carrying a gun.

Yes, 'he.wasn't mad enough to shoot at armed police officers' - cause alll you so called gangsters are, ultimately, cowards. Maybe if more people who carried guns knew they would be shot by police (and that's exactly what should happen) it would make some people think twice.

Stafford Scott - you are an idiot!

  • disregard for the family???? The reason they tell the parents of fallen soldiers about the death before the press release is as a mark of respect for a hero - do you genuinely feel marc duggan could be compared to someone killed whilst defending women and children in Afghanistan ??? Do you have any defence for the mess you caused?

  • Stafford Scott is a disgrace (as is Martin Brunt for not challenging his outrageous BS).

He does not condemn someone carrying a gun (it's ok because it's in his sock!).

He demands everything from the police but will not look at the real problem. Scott you are causing a lot of harm to a lot of people. Feel free to step into 2011
