TALKING SNAKE --- this is one of the forgeries of the deviants from the true Christian faith - that faith that was brought by Prophet Jesus .... and before him, by Noah, Abraham, Moses, etc. ....and afterwards by Muhammad.

The "talking snake" is a forgery, and a proof of the falseness of the Bible. * Yes, of course, the Prophets told us that there is another world of جن (Jinn) or demons -- and whether or not u believe in this... exorcism, possessed

The issue of people who are possessed ... and things of this nature -- and how sometimes some people do "tricks" that the we cannot comprehend -- supernatural in essence -- does, kind of, shake the "certainty" of those who are so convinced that such things don't exist. And it does bring up that possibility ... (there's a lot more details to this that I haven't mentioned, research for urself)

* So the true religions taught that such existed. And of course, "Satan" was one of them

So in essence ... Bill, they teach that there are things that are beyond our perception - that don't always MAKE SENSE to our human minds ...not everything, as you would like to have it, Has a "logical" explanation ...

Well - here at this point - these "Prophets" who have claimed to be inspired by the divine, tell us about things we could never have known, by any scientific proofs.

So yes, Talking Snake is a lie. But there're other things that aren't correct "logically" but may be true

So - no - I don't believe in a talking snake in a garden.

But I do believe in the possibility that there are thing that cannot be "logically" or rationally or scientifically explained or proven ... but are nonetheless, True & Real. -- These are things that the "Prophets" throughout time have told people about ...

and the truth is, many times, in even our modern world ~ we're faced with things of this nature - and we don't have ANY clue, we can't explain them... eg. the "jinn" factor

I don't think it's as simple and straightforward as that. First of all, I don't think that special creationism is a necessary component for those who trust in the creator God of scripture. I think the theory of biological evolution is just irrelevant to the truth of Christian theism. The first two chapters in Genesis are obviously highly symbolic. Secondly, it is absurd to think that someone can't behave morally without the ten commandments. Whoever made that comment is enormously stupid.

God is real. But the bible wasn't written by god, it was written by man. Man is imperfect, and THEREFORE the bible is inherently imperfect. As all man does is imperfect because only God is perfect.
Therefore it is okay to disagree with the bible, because it is merely the work of men. Just because you don't like everything the bible says, doesn't mean you cannot believe in God.

When you solve the question with that answer, you create another question: Who created God?

Like one of my heroes said::
If everything must have a cause, then God must have a cause. If there can be anything without a cause, it may just as well be the world as God, so that there cannot be any validity in that argument Bertrand Russell

thats just bad philosophy. its also just dresssing up the argument, "who created god then"
but the bottom line is God would HAVE to be transcendent of time, matter and space, to create the universe. This is the best explanation of how it started. If you have no space, no matter, no light, how do you get to the starting point of matter? you CANT! im not saying it HAS to be the god of the bible, but it must be a transcendent being. I discuss religion seperately, but i am a proud christian

what I'm saying is, that we seem to have only two main theories: God created the universe 6,000 years ago with man at the beginning; or a spontaneous explosion spread particles wildly through space, forming what we now know as our solar system. There used to be a theory that God created the universe billions of years ago and let life form itself. That idea has been lost for years now, and I don't know why nobody thinks that way. I don't, but it makes just as much sense as the other two ideas.
