Mamdouh Habbashi, an activist and one of the founding members of the Egyptian Socialist Party discusses with Newsclick what the uprising of January 2011 achieved and how much more is left for it to be called a revolution. He discusses the role of the Military Council and Muslim Brotherhood, which has tried to snatch the gains of the January movement and take it in a different direction. His analysis sounds prescient in view of the events currently unfolding in Tahrir square.
