Chaotic Inner Child - Percussive Promises 01.

Bit of a hitch in the first few seconds, artifact of the YouTube conversion. First session with the in-progress garbage percussion kit. It makes me think that Organisation (Kraftwerk's early music), Neu! and other krautrock and concrete experimental bands have influenced me more than I realize. This sound is entirely different from "The Life and Times of Baron von Vermis" silent film soundtrack found at the link below.

I hear what I play a bit after it hits my ears in the headphones so I always try to anticipate the best movement to get a certain sound. Part of the challenge is the length of sound that will max out the delay/reverb effect without making it hang on too long, and part of it is just playing when you hear one sound when you make it in your ears over the headphones, and then hear some effect version of it as caught by the mic and filtered live by the laptop, etc. Lots of fun!

It came out well, thanks. I love doing sessions with this thing. I am working on a slight delay of sorts due to the latency of the USB mic. Even without a preset or VST effect with delay in it, thus I chose one that has delay and reverb in it.

Nice reverb. Makes me wanna sit in a dark cave, around a fire, wearing a loin cloth, etc... heh
