It is sad that there is nothing from Cecil Taylor in the seventies. At the very least, the audio could digitized and uploaded even if there are no films. Cecil Taylor Unit (1978) is my favorite CT recording, and it deserves representation on YouTube. I'll attempt it if I can find a tutorial on how to create a video from a sound recording (hint).

For those of you who like "Unit Structures"...listen to Cecil's "Conquistador."

which I think Cecil did for many years, hence the shape he's in now.

The images, which are quite nice, seem to be paced way too fast for the music. It seems to me the music is most reminiscent of a light house horn. very very slow and measured. But perhaps I'm missing something.

The pics in this vid are kinda frighteningly hypnotic... I love it's originality!!!! :-D !!
GUBC, you should: 1)keep on listen!; 2) try and share thoughts with a friend expert on this kind of music; 3) if you like to read, there's a book named "Free Jazz" (Ekkehard Jost) where a whole chapter tries and describe the compositive and improvisative logics in Taylor's Unit Structures.
Ciao
