The voting systems we have in many places in this country are unacceptable. That we accept them for one election, let alone one after another, is an outrage. Fixing this cannot be postponed just because states have bought inappropriate equipment. If you knew the brake lines were faulty on your pretty new Mercedes would you drive it anyway?
We need paper ballots. Paper trails are not the answer.
Whatever you value, you must protect it by fighting for legitimate elections.

I haven't seen this debate die down at all ... the democrats in many races spotted a 5% or so lead to the other side, but it wouldn't matter what side was benefited it would be wrong either way. Electronic secret vote counting has no credibility and must end.
