Pirates of the Health Care-ibbean. March for Health Care Justice. Sat. Aug 4, 2007 at 9 AM. Seattle, Washington.

Regence Blue Shield is the wealthiest private insurance company in Washington. They have amassed over $890 million in excess surplus, an increase of 78 percent since 2003. But apparently it's not enough to satisfy a greedy appetite for our premium dollars. In July, Regence is shocking policy holders with a massive rate increase of 19 percent -- up to 40 percent for the elderly.
Insurance pirates are hoarding a treasure chest of profit, while making the poor, sick & vulnerable walk the plank. It's time to end insurance piracy. Health care for all now!
March begins at: Seattle University (enter at 10th & Madison)
March to: Regence HeadQuarters (9th & Howell)
I too appreciate your comment. They did a great job. Arrh. Sometimes I dress as a pirate, sing "Go Ahead and Die." Let's stop the Pirates. We make it funny to get point across, but it is a very serious matter. I use to have good insurance when I worked for the plant, till they downsized, I lost my job and insurance with it. One reason I lost my job is because cost of healthcare placed American production at competitive disadvantage with rest of world. Pirates of Health Care-ibbean at work Arrh

My international Pirate Talk Day entry, 9/19. Arrh. Good job, we need to defeat the Pirates of the Health Care-ibbean; that is the insurance and drug industries. I am a folk musician/singer/songwriter and activist for affordable healthcare. Arrh.
