The Greater Tigray agenda suffered a setback when Woyanne went to war with Eritrea in 1998.
Woyanne had to scramble and get Ethiopians to support the war by trying to falsely present itself as an Ethiopian nationalist group.
The Woyanne's war with Eritrea caused split inside the organization's top leadership, putting the final nail on the coffin of Greater Tigray manifesto.

Bahrenegash... I wish shabia would stop their ill treatment of the Eritrean people and join the band wagon of peace and developement... I'm not saying Ethiopia is there but I think the whole world knows Ethiopia is on the right track....so please let's find a way to work in peace and bring our people out of misery... Let's avoid immflamatory and destabalizing rhetoric.., that won't help anyone..

Beharenegash... What are you talking about Meles may not be a democrat but he sure as got Ethiopia on the right track... The country is growing and there is only minimal ethnic problems... As expected this will take more time to solve but its a nice start...The people of Ethiopia had a rough start with meles rule but now they realize what a good job he is doing.... Stop trying to obstruct our progress..... Please!!!!!
