  • Yes, that's because Russians are not Spock. What's wrong with showing that you're human and have emotions? What, you expect everyone to be stone-faced?

  • The game is very interesting, but the guy annotating goes too fast!

  • Thank you ! I saw the video but I didn't know what kasporovs blunder was

  • @fiendin281 where blunders are concerned, there is no such thing as an undeserved win (or loss). anand won fair and square, regardless of kasparov's strength from the start.

  • Kasparov should have won. He is obviously superior to anand. I feel this win was undeserved since he just got lucky.

  • @dereckthefighter Sorry.. english is foreign for me and i understand this guy perfect.. it's ok and i saw that "emotion" too.. it's on the right.

  • I wish this narrator would stop chewing whatever is in his mouth and stop his usual million "ers" and" ums". He thinks he"s talking to someone in a pub rather than guiding many thousands of fellow chess fans through this exciting game. A great shame as his comments are indeed interesting. I also agree he"s talking way too fast for a non native english-speaker.

  • @cihad2003 Fianchetto.

  • how do you write flancheto bishop corectly?

  • @TisforTaco if he saves queen, he looses a rook for free n gets nothing in return. Also loses position and support to king. By castle he saves rook, and trades queen for white rook. may be he saw this fit and decided to trade!

  • @TisforTaco There isn't any, but it would make black position worse.

Say black puts his queen to b6, white takes the rook for free, forcing the black king to e2. Then white can go back to g4, black has to defend again so white has time move the king out of the pin. Blacks position is screwed.

By castling, he trade his queen for a rook (instead of losing an entire piece for nothing) and his king is in a safer position. It's the least of two evils.

  • PORQUE Iria dar na mesma Coisa , QUANDO Tomar uma dama,a torre sera tomada pelo cavalo negro

  • why didn't black just save his queen? I didn't really see an immediate check mate. can somebody tell me please? ( sorry i'm new =] )

  • why did black castle instead of saving his queen? I didn't see an immediate checkmate...maybe you guys can help me out? (i'm new. sorry =] )

  • Uhm, I don't get why he doesn't play Qxf2+ before 0-0? I'm tired, but it looks to me like that would sell the queen for a higher price.

  • @mexprince9 Really? He seemed slow to me :/

  • LOL yeah, he has such an agressive voice xD

  • Viswanathan Anand Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He was just expecting an exchange of pieces Qxe3 Qxe3 Nxe3 Rxe3 with a winning game. IF he had played Nxe3 instead of Qxe3 he would have won.

  • Thanks for the video. So what did Kasparov think he was accomplishing with Qxe3? What reply was he expecting?

  • speak normal!!!

  • He was hilarious

  • "Interpolation" is the closest English word for the German "zwischenzug". "Intermediate move" or "in-between move" are also possible, but slightly more awkward (I think).

I'm not sure about zugzwang. It's literal meaning doesn't convey its concept, so it's hard to put into a single word.

  • Anyways Gr8 move by Anand.

  • haha! is there no english word for zwischenzug (or zugzwang)? :D
