@schlagerhansi That proverb makes no sense at all, a pig is a different species of animal than a horse and only 2 horses can create a horse regardless of location.
"A horse born in a pig sty is still a horse", "A white man born in Africa is still white". The proverb would make sense if that way.
What i'm saying is a little more complicated.

@schlagerhansi I didn't even realise actually, i was only correcting "pig hog", here we call it a "pig sty", maybe different there.
I couldn't explain in full what i meant, i'll use the US as an example.
If my parents had moved to the US 26 years ago and were granted US citizenship, a year later i was born and ultimatley raised in the US. I would consider it home, England would a place i visit to see family. I would consider myself American English or English American, doesn't matter.

I'm sorry for misquoting the proverb and apologize. Of course it runs: A horse born in a pig hog is stil a horse, and verse versa.
btw: It isn't meant in a biological way only.
