To hear my take on a weller classic

This is the modern world and To be Someone live bristol academy 16th may 07. 2nd & 3rd on the set list as i remember. Gig was in a really small room, the atmosphere was fantastic, you just dont get the chance to see them in a small gig like this very often if ever. what a night.

  • The Jam are a favorite band of mine.Good for Foxton and Buckler for doing what they want. I have no problem with this line up. They are pretty good, however I wish I had seen the original line up with Weller years back. Weller won't reform and I can't say that I blame him. Weller has integrity though because it would be so easy for him to reform with The Jam and take the millions being offered. He's decided to move on and I respect that.

  • whole heartedly agree with your comments. nicely summed up.

Off 2c weller in may so chk bac for the vids of his gig then.

  • you dont have a clue what you ae talking about :)

  • Rather listen to this than to Weller mincing around like a faggot with Mick talbot or getting all political. FCUK Weller.

  • bloody hell...were surrounded by kanye west, take that and paul potts and some of u have the cheek to slag this band off...at least its real...ive seen em lie...awesome

  • Kareoke.... again... accet no immitations... fools

  • From The Jam have a new CD - 'Arse Crack'?

    Is this a joke.

Iuv the band - The Jam forever.

  • To all the morons debating this like 6th form common room tossers - get over yourselves. This looks like a fucking great night out, two thirds of a legendary band in a small club playing great music... What's not to love?

  • shit weller the best

  • I do feel a bit sorry for these two though - they deserve to make a bit of a pension out of their contribution to rock history. Their amazing power as a rhythm section certainly helped propel Weller to fame. But time has proven where the real talent was. At least From the Jam is pretty tight and it does go some way towards recapturing the original Jam sound live - I saw them live twice. But give me 22 Dreams anyday.

  • I love from the Jam. I know those are wellers songs, but you know Bruce and Rick are so brilliant together. I think their vibe is much more laid back than paul. This is a wonderful thing, to see them and sing knowing every word. I don't miss paul's attitude. Bruce's basslines were the first I learned as a pup. Makes this very special.

  • I have to agree. I was very skeptical about this venture, but from the video I've seen if they come around my way theres no way I'm missing them!
