I think Mikami was a much better person than yagami. Yagami was smarter than mikami, and Mikami failed him at the end, but Mikami has saved people in his childhood, and proved his justice. I think Mikami had much more sense of justice than Yagami.

I as so sad when this anime ended, but it did end perfectly. Although i wish it could go on forever, I'm glad that they ended it instead of dragging it out to make profits. It was such a proper ending, though immensely depressing...
