In this piece, the artist reflects on the human condition, the interaction between Mother Earth and the evolution of man from a pre-historic creature into a technological cyborg.




Fear of a system controlled entirely by cybernetics is the reason Mr. Beunen has chosen to transplant a traffic light to a small village in Italy,. This pioneer is placed on top of the entry piont into Bocchignano village.

This pioneer underlines the absurdity of the conflict that exists between human instincts and recognised social behaviour.
