Mark Kempton talks to Jenny Woodward on 16th June 2011 about his experiences during the 2011 floods, including his rescue efforts in Grantham and the flooding of his own home in Brisbane.
Inspiring and tragic stories. This brought me to tears. Although I was a world away, my heart and thoughts were with the Auz people. I know he doesn't feel like he's a "hero" but he literally was an important part of saving the lives of 28 people during the floods. I know there was mass amounts of loss of life, not to mention damages, but that man along with his crew, made a huge difference not only to those 28 people, but their families and friends too. Utmost respect for him and his team. Hero
