  • @farizdanialz Because people can't appreciate a challenge. Like those speed runners just play to beat this the fastest they can. They don't take the time to feel the level itself. They just wanna get it over with.

    It was gonna be released for free, but at the last minute, they got contacted by id software, who offered them a business deal, so it was released commercially together with Plutonia. Some people didn't like this, and branded them sellouts. Some people did like this, and thought it was wonderful that modders could go professional.

    For instance, one of the two guys who made Plutonia, Dario Casali, went on to do maps at Valve Software for the Half-Life series.
