In my opinion the title is metaphoric. In this video Chris appears like an animal trapped in an invisible cage, fighting to get himself free. To run away from "the biology of universal cruelty".
We are all like animals- so beautiful but cruel like there was no other way to survive.

In german tier means animal, and tiergarten means zoo. If you listen to the song that way, it makes complete sense. The furs are there for artistic value, I don't really think chris supports that.
