Doc Watson was 88 a few days ago and, if ever there was a National Treasure (US), he must be it. I've been playing "Deep River Blues" for years - just thought it would be fun to celebrate Doc's birthday by doing a few off-the-cuff improvisations around the tune and chords.

Hello Will! I read about Doc turning 88 and from what I hear he is still going strong! This is one of my favorites and you play it great! Cool!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

Very cool! Your extensive improvisation adds a lot, and it inspires me to get back to learning alternating thumb picking!
