Real stereo sound.

In November 2007, Lisa Gerrard travelled to the Lüneburg Heath, where Klaus Schulze has resided for more than 30 years. It is also home to his private recording studio. For this joint effort six days were scheduled, but "on the first day, we just went out for dinner and didn't play any music at all", recalls Schulze. "I had already prepared the compositions and on the second day we actually recorded about five hours of music straight without a break. This session became Farscape I -- I have never experienced such an exciting thing in my entire career as an artist. The next day was just as intense and this session became Farscape II, another majestic, gripping experience with an exceptional artist", Schulze enthuses.

A great moment of cooperation between true artists was the result!

"Farscape" album is going to be released in June 2008.

  • The actual album is rather drawn out IMO and could have done with another pare of ears to help edit it down to the essential passages.

Still, a nice edition to my collection, although it won't get as many plays compared to other works I own.

  • I want more of her voice, I dont know who he is, a bit Jean Michel Jarre ish?

  • Two of my favorite composers, both masters in Ethnic Technics!! Amazing...

  • I used to listen to a couple of Klaus Sculze's records in the late 70s, and when i learned on Lisa's new website that she recently collaborated with him...i just rushed to listen to their common work.

So this is it...quite disappointing. Klaus's Music on this play is dull and i must admit that Lisa's part is just usual etheral melopees.

How do you spell "dispendable" in idioglossia ?

  • @1welshdevil

Rather Jean Michel Jarre is a bit Klaus Schulze-ish...

  • @inexplicata I agree with you. Though, I'm not really sure why. I have enjoyed Lisa's singing on her own. And I enjoy KS's music more on his own. I find I really don't come back to this video very much.

  • @runupahill1

I reckon LG's voice spoils KS's music here...she was better in Dead Can Dance.

  • This is really nice, I'm familiar with German electronic pioneer Klaus Schulze since the 70s and just waking up to Lisa Gerard's beautiful voice. Apparently, these days Klaus Schulze makes up his compositions spontanously while playing live. Myself, as his fans are glad he is coming back to music after he suffered a stroke.

  • my god i finally this song on u tube i used 2 listen to this wen i go to sleep ..playin video games its take u out this world really ....but i remember star ends had this song n its lasted 20 or 28 mins

  • runupahill-you are an ignoramus. you are, of course, entitled to your opinion, but the two of them together created such exquisite magic, and M. Perry as acquitted himself very well with "Eye of the Hunter" and his latest works. But really, for all the dynamism of Lisa's exquisite voice, the MESMERISING lyric and vocal of M. Perry on such works as "xavier," and "in the kingdom of the blind, the one eyed is king," for you to make such a claim is painful and disgusting-good luck with that.
