(May 23)This is AP Sports Friday.The NBA Eastern conference finals are even at one game apiece, after Detroit beat the Celtics in Boston 103-97 Thursday.Six Pistons scored in double figures, led by Richard Hamilton with 25.Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett combined for 75 points in defeat.-------------------------------------------------------------------------­--But it was a big day for another Boston team as the Red Sox pounded not one, but 2 grand slams as they beat the Royals 11-8.J.D. Drew hit one of the home runs with the bases full, in the 2nd inning.SOT: J.D. DrewDaisuke Matsuzaka upped his record to 8 and oh in the win.----------------------------------------------------------------------------­---------------------------- Josh Hamilton hit a two-out homer in the 10th inning, as Texas beat Minnesota 8-7 Thursday.That gives the Rangers center fielder 12 home runs, tied for most in the American League.
