A short film inspired by the book Sand Dancers: Let the Dance Begin by Lynda Waterhouse.

Cassie was very small when her mother, the prima donna dancer of the Sand Faeries, disappeared on the night of the Great Sandstorm nine years ago. Since then, the Supreme Sand Faerie has forbidden any dune dancing. But then Cassie discovers that the Sandringham Dance School is going to reopen, and she is desperate to win a place. Not only does she love dancing, but this might give her the opportunity to find out what really happened to her mother all those years ago.

  • Love the atmosphere of this. Thoughts of Cottingley Fairies... and then coming alive some.
