it's ironic you say that, as several scientists speculate that neanderthals actually communicated via singing because they lacked the power the enunciate consonants well.
PS: lol anyway, Callas is fabulous as always. I can't help but think she sounds more "natural" than usual here. most of her other lighter repertoire sounds a little constrained

Actually, hat record probably went to Caballé, who was much more famous for that. Of course, the media talked much more about Callas' cancellations, but media coverage isn't factual truth. I can't see why you say she had a popera singer's dynamic range, since she was reknown for the opposite even among detractors. And being fat isn't anyone's inherent quality (she became very thin still young) - and definitely not a flaw. Perhaps your Neanderthal senses can't notice what Homo sapiens can. :-)
