  • In the black heart of Africa Ghana is still a star shinning more bright than ever. This election, the second transition of a president since the constitution was made in 1992, shows the world and the rest of Africa that Ghana has became one of the few solid democraties in Africa with a prosperous future ahead, the quatities of oil is just a perfect opportunity to boost your economy which is necessary.

  • There is a vote so what the people still remain poor why dont african countries follow the china model and just go for development FIRST then go from fancy stuff like western style "democracy"

  • @Thegrey12 No no no. The Chinese way of dictatorships ruling has been the norm in Africa for a long time and it has resulted in violent ethnic wars and no progress takes place because there is no peace as one group after another fights to establish themselves as the ruling power. The reason democracy works better is because as long as people believe the process is taking place fairly they can peacefully accept the leadership. Only with this peace can progress and development take place.

  • ghana is very beautiful,i was there the food the people and exspezialy the womans are very good i really like ghana

  • nice to see a british reporter with ghanian roots telling this story as opposed to the usual white middle class man.

  • Ghana is a beautfull country, with a interesting culture. I was there for 3 months and it was one of my best trips in my live..

    Go Ghana...!!!

    Greetings from Germany..

  • West-africa has a different story than other part of africa. They are very intelligent, very attached to their culture;a culture that is helping west-africa TO GROW economically.Don't compare west-frica with central-africa, somalia, soudan, congo, ethiopia, etc...west-africa is black beauty, black intelligence, black proud.

  • Your African sense is very shallow if there is any @ all. An African American born da USA is not the same in thinking as having lived in Africa before. Sense of appreciation is not same. Da indicators U are looking 4 i.e education and poverty are being worked on but if you know history of Africa, its not being exactly easy.

What if U were not born in the US, would U have same views, would U deny your motherland or be more specific with those bringing it to its knees including the West? Think?

  • also i would like to inform u respectfully,in the u.s u voted G.bush twice and he was clearly a fool and the election wasnt even rigged and look wht he did to ur economy and name in the would. now think of africa wher we have powerful tyrants ruling for almost 4 decades and we didnt vote them in how do u expect us to have a better economy or state so do u see why africa hasnt moved forward until now and actually based on what we go through i think we are doing quite well but not at our best

  • for starter to answer questio frica has a lot to be proud of 1400 years of slavery, attack from the world and poor trade policies and yet some of our economies are still thriving not at the best but tryin. Not allqhie nations are suoer rich and developed go into east europe and see the poverty they are in and they havent been through anything or as much as africa. also with blk ppl thinking like u its no wonder we aint moving fast enough. u have low selfesteem,b the blk that helps bring change

  • Low self asteem, go and have a lie down love!
