Have to say, I saw this coming a mile off, and given the millions and millions of pounds Chris (& his team) have raised for charity, he's more than deserving of the honour of carrying the torch. 5 years ago, probably not.

Chris is NOT the man he was 6 years ago, and the moronic haters on here are obviously the types who know nothing about him, and the life changes he's made since then. I think I can pinpoint the exact moment he changed. It's the day he apologised to Nicola from Girls Aloud

Now that Chris has left, it's a bittersweet little thing for me that I've got the two top comments on this page. But Chris, if you ever read this, I have to say you really were the only reason I listened to Radio 1. That, and I will never consider myself old enough to listen to Radio 2. As much as I don't hate Grimmy, he will never, NEVER be able to fill your shoes, nor will he be able to attract the numbers Ben's after. It's a mistake, they will realise sooner rather than later.
