Very informative, as usual. I'm curious about the concept of defining proper playing mechanics before choosing good equipment. If I learned to play clarinet on poor equipment and continue to play on poor equipment, how can develop proper playing mechanics without first buying new equipment? but then, how can i judge said equipment unless i first develop proper playing mechanics? perhaps you'll explain in part two. keep up the good work. i really look forward to these.

Bad equipment = major adjustments needed. Good equipment makes life a lot easier = minimum adjustment.

exactly. anyone who does a job wants to get the maximum results and benefits in the shortest time and least amount of effort. why should the "job" of playing the clarinet be any different?

this is the best comment I can recall from viewers. I do intend to attempt an answer to this conundrum in video 41 and give a solution. Thank you so much for thoughtful viewing.
