ummm, linux is not better for everyone, just for people who really want to have control over the os, mac os is actually pretty damn great, but pretty damn not free lol, windows 7 is actually a good windows...cuz it has a nice compatibility mode, and well, i use slackware and xp, both really stable with their respective libraries...i got to tell u, if u prefer windows, go with 7, it looks quite nice and its not vista, linux users, u use watever u want and mac users, just use it...

actually, BSD and free BSD are the parents of macosx... although they are unix based...
