I did a report on Dorothy Dandridge in 2005 and I got the best grade and my classmates wanted to know more about her.

I think if this was a major motion picture on the big screen, Halle would have gotten an oscar she deserved

she got an academy award for best actress...she was the first black woman to get win the best actress award...dorothy dandridge was the first black woman to be nominated for that award..ironically halle won it ..that's why the movie was so important to her because Dorothy TRULY paved the way for her
