About Lao community of Victoria:
The Lao association of Victoria was established in early 1876 soon after the arrival of the Lao refugees. Due to more of Lao people came and live in every region of Victoria in 1980 another organization was established under the name of Lao Community of Victoria. As a result of the resolution passed during the Annual general meeting held on 31 October 1993 the two organizations were merged in to one large organization which is known as "Lao Community of Victoria".

Laos & Khmers have long history of friendship; we have shared the land, sky, river & air 4 1000yrs in peace btwn our 2 nations!! Khmers' Princess was Lao pple's queen, & she was beautiful & most love by lao pple. Unlike Siamese, Burmese, & Vietnamese, they were relentlessly invaded, enslaved, & taken Laos!! May Budhha bless everyone.
