I liked the old Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet in the glass jar. They discontinued. It was way better then the new one. Then I switched to Liquid Lift. Now I see Sephora isn't carrying it any more. I treid the HD and it doesn't look that great on me. I'll check your HD tut. MUFE is way better then MAC any day.

According to TifanyD, Mat velvet + is thicker and has more coverage than HD fondation.

Is your face washing out in photos? It's not the SPF it's the make-up. Skin absorbs light while foundation deflects it causing this problem. If you know pics will be taken, be sure to add make-up to your neck, and any chest area that may be showing and it will eliminate this problem. I think that's from the book "How not to look Old". But I read so many beauty books that I can't be certain. Hope that helps and good luck.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS FOUNDATION. I CAN'T BELIEVE I SLEPT ON IT FOR SO LONG! NO MORE ORANGE FACE FROM STUDIO FIX. MY FACE LOOKS SO BRIGHT. TOTALLY WORTH THE 34 BUCKS! SORRY FOR YELLING...I'M JUST EXCITED ABOUT IT, LOL.

I tried the MUFE HD, and it did not look so good on my skin (I have oily acne prone skin) and my face got oily through out the day I had to blot and apply powder a lot, BUT it did look good on camera. I'm nervous to try the matte velvet because I definitly need coverage...and I dont want to have to worry about oil coming through and I wander what type of look it gives..more makeupy or natural or flawless.. THANKS

i have this product but for some reason it transfers. like when i touch my face, and then touch soething white, it just gets all over. i hate it! but most people say it doesnt transfer. can you tell me why it does on me? i wear smashbox photofinish light primer and like the mufe ful cover concealer and mat velvet then this maybelline oil control translucent powder i have...or sometimes i use y mac studio fix powder foundation. why does it transfer on me?
