For indigenous Tarahumara (Raramuri) Indians in Mexico's remote Copper Canyon, Semana Santa (Easter week) is one of the year's most important holidays. This celebration was held on Palm Sunday, 2010, at Mission Cinco Santos in the tiny village of Cusarare, located just outside of Creel. The melding of original pagan beliefs with Catholicism has resulted in fascinating ceremonies such as the one shown here.
