Scenes from around Table Mountain

"The cloth is on the table, so you will have a good meal tonight" - so said the guide kicking off a fine tour of the Table Mountain area. We couldn't go onto it because of the cloud cover, but we were able to see it from signal hill. There is also footage of the Noon Gun in this video - the oldest functional cannon in Africa, which is let off over the bay at noon each day. The boom simply doesn't register on the camera's sound system, so all you hear is a modest crack, but the real one is enough to give you a real start, even when you know it's coming - hence the jolt on the camera at that point, and the reaction from the onlookers.
Towards the end you can see the view of Table Mountain from the exit motorway from Cape Town in the direction of the wine-growing area.

Ive always wanted to visit capetown but am put off by the violence ive heard of? Is it as bad as people say it is?? It looks like heaven over there I am so eager to see it for real, if not move over permanently!!

@HeresLukingAtUKid Violence is bad when it happens, but perfectly ok when it doesn't. I didn't see any myself, but if you went to certain areas on your own no doubt you could find some if you wanted it.

I have only been to South Africa once on a music tour to help under-privalaged children. After that I have totally fallen in love with the country. A unique place to say the least!

yeah.I was at Cape Town around 4year..its my dreaming place. I am at The states now..even here is nice but South Africa is the best I think ....:)
