The Leviathan in Opensim

A short machinima of the Leviathan Telescope being ported over to the Avatrian Opensim grid using the Meerkat Viewer. It was originally created in the Second Life platform for our client, Troy McConaghy, who desired a faithful and detailed recreation of the massive telescope. The Leviathan was a large Newtonian Reflector built by Lord Rosse in Parsonstown, Ireland.

The inset shows Clifford carefully monitoring the transfer progress in our real world office as the the prims are sequentially positioned in the OpenSim space hosted by Avatrian. This initiative is a part of our on-going research into alternative platforms for metaverse development and a demonstration of compatibility between platforms.

@avatrian well ive tried literally for DAYS to get any standalone opensim with or without MySQL working on my macpro 10.5 other than opensim 0.6.4 which works perfectly. No other versions have even gotten past the initial starting up without bunches of errors and then terminating, even had sharing violation error trying to upload an iar file as a test in the one that does work

No matter how many times I checked, rechecked config files and all the other stuff I did, it simply does not work
