You are correct, the yellow bulb was the starfire GPS, but it was disconnected at the time. The tractor is steering using the two white GPS antennas on either side of the cab roof.

The mower is a machine and needs upkeep, yes. The fact that it wears JD yellow and green doesn't place it in a bracket of elitism like a Porsche.

I knew an old man in NC 25 years ago who owned an old Snapper rear engine mower and it had to have been 15 years old then. It was used for cutting the back yard of his house, basically a field. I could whack that out in short time and the thing ran like a top.

The blades are what the whole thing is about, projunior. Of course I can "upkeep it", the 175 is 20 years old, are you? I am shocked JD really thinks their parts are like cocaine and they can charge the prices they do.

What do the blades have to do with the rest of the machinery? The Kawasaki engine runs fine but an air filter is $22 at Home Depot.

depends what you are doing. the skid steers are what new holland make good. but john deere makes all around better tractors than new holland.

I was a complete John Deere man until I tries my first New Holland. I have to say they do outperform my John Deere tractors. I am now purchasing my second New Holland. Anyone who thinks NH are poor man tractors has not priced one they are just as expensive as green. God did not make everything blue, only the BEST!!!!!!!!
