Gauntlet Dark Legacy; Midway; XBOX; Difficulty: Hard

I don't know if it has something to do with the disc being a used copy, or it just happens to be an unlucky error during game production.

If you don't understand what the video is about, I suggest you watch the intro in the Grounds walkthrough I uploaded first.

  • This probably has to do with it being a used copy. I used to buy used games all the time and even with the tiniest scratch, sound would become inconsistent in some places, somethings playing the wrong clip or BGM.

  • Very true.

The sound of the cutscene in this video is the one for the Lamp of Dark Obstruction in the Erupting Fissure.

The actual sound that was supposed to be used for this intro started out with a wolf's howl and contain a somewhat haunting music before the Lantern is shown up close.

  • Yep, immediately upon hearing footsteps, I recognized it as the Lamp cutscene.

Now I'd like to ask you something. A few friends and I will soon be attempting a one-day run through of G: DL (Gamecube version). Four players, hard mode. I'd like to know how long you think it might take? We'll be going at a steady pace, killing all enemies/generators but not wasting any time, staying focused. I estimate that it'll take at minimum 6 to 8 hours.

  • I think that it might take 7-10 hours. If you watched all of my GDL videos, you should be able to get all of the crystals, golden icons, runestones, and legend items in one attempt without revisiting a stage. (Some crystals and golden items are hard to find BTW.)

Here is what else to consider:

    1. Enemies and enemy generators increasing

    2. Locations of items changing (including keys)

    3. Increased amount of dangerous traps

    4. Locations of switches changing

    5. Increased boss health

  • Oh. I suggest that at least one person keeps the X-Ray glasses in the inventory. I also suggest that at least one person keep an Anti-Death Power Halo in the inventory.

Both the X-Ray and Anti-Death are my favorite powerups and have helped me when I needed them (some my videos have shown such situations.)
