The following footage represents a small fraction of the many small towns in Vermont who are getting no media attention despite overwhelming losses. My hopes is that this video will help people, both in and out of Vermont, understand how truly devastated our small state is.

The Following towns are represented: (in order of appearance)
Saxtons River, VT
Chester, VT
Cavendish, VT
Rockingham, VT
Grafton, VT
Cambridgeport, VT
Westminster, VT

The video footage does not even come close to showing the true impact to this rural area.

  • My brother and his family live in Chester VT on Snell Rd. My brother was walking down Snell Rd trying to get home during Irene. He had to leave his truck because the road was washed out to a narrow path. He heard a crack behind him and looked back to see the road he just walked down had washed away. He hustled home and is now stuck. Thank you for shedding light on Chester.
