http://www.zennie62.com - I've been in Georgia for a week now - most of the time I've been sick - but I'll never forget the flight to get here. Now, I've flown thousands of times and come here each month, but the way this United Airlines flight shook while entering Atlanta airspace scared the heck out of me.

Turbulence? Sure. I've felt it before a lot actually - but usually inflight, not during the end of the flight. Apparently the Georgia weather included more than a few storm clouds; because of this our landing was delayed 12 minutes. But then I guess the pilot got cleared to land because we just dived into the most terrible clouds I've seen in a while and all hell broke lose.

The plane shook, at one point before the video violently (which is why I turned it on) and the Airbus A319 airframe produced this kind of loud whining noise I've never experienced before. All of this is in the video. Through it all the pilot was a pro. After that three minutes of terror so close to the airport, he landed smoothly. I guess that's why he makes the big bucks, or I hope he does.

I wonder to this day if we could have waited another few minutes and gotten around those clouds. As I exited the plane, the pilot had just emerged from the cockpit; I said nice landing. Thanks. He tipped his hat and breathed a sigh of what had to be relief. Distributed by Tubemogul.

  • wow finally got to the video after a pointless introduction!

  • If this turbulence was so scary, how come the little children a few rows away were chattering right through it as though they were in their living room at home?

  • @indygrabowski stop talking out of ur ass k tough guy thanks

  • No, this is not turbulence. Once while flying from Beijing to San Francisco, we experienced turbulence so bad that the drink cart in the first class cabin left the floor and smashed into the ceiling. On another occasion, a Sabena flight from Brussels to Hamburg see-sawed down the runway (left/right) with the wingtips almost touching the runway during a landing.

  • If you have really have flown thousands of times, you wouldn't be so scared while the a/cf is descending through the clouds, cause this nothing more than a completely NORMAL approach...

  • you know you're not supposed to have your camera on when descending?

  • Its always turbulence going through the clouds, Duaa.

  • i hate it how so many people come on here and think there the best pilot in the world shut the fuck up and watch the damn video !

  • @lenator100 I think you will find that autopilot is on most of the time even during decent and also using ISL it can land the plane automatically.

  • If only you knew what the hell you were talking about
