Max's Kansas City 08/10/72. Rare footage from Bruce Springsteen (solo). Bruce opened for headliner Dave Van Ronk and Doris Abrahams. The MC was Sam Hood, who booked Max's. This was the closing number. The only other footage from this show was the opening number, "Henry Boy".

I am very thankful that my dad constantly played Springsteen when I was growing up.

Watch it at openculture & read the story behind this video when Bruce was only 23 in '72 not 64 in 2013. He was good enough for the godfather of NYC 60's folk culture to have as an opening act who would you want...
