I was in this A&P in Maplewood countless times as a kid in the 1950s. My mother never shopped anywhere else during her time living in the area, 1941 to 1973.

I miss having A&P stores in Maryland. Ours became SuperFresh in the 1980s. SuperFresh is now closing the stores here. I am hoping the new company brand--A&P Fresh---may resurface here. LONG LIVE A&P! Remember the old "A&P Weeo" slogan?

We once had an A & P store not far from home. It had a S&H Green Stamps store right next door. Over 20 years ago, it closed. The all glass Michigan Ave. facade was covered over, and yet, everytime I pass it, in my mind, I see the A&P and S&H store. Across town, recently, the A&P logo reappeared, having been covered up for decades. 2 video suggestions 1: snack bar oddity 2: weird drive in moment. Thank you.

I lived in the apartments next door in The Maplewood Plaza. My mother was forever sending us there. It brings back great memories for me. I graduated Columbia in '73. ;) What are they replacing it with?
