thats cause in the 50s there was only 1 commentator and orchestra employed. lol didnt you know?? and most people die from pyro-plastic flows and explosions than from lava flows , but still like u said wouldnt like to be that close with such flimsy protection. btw if you freeze frame at 6min 41 its looks like a salamander ....

Why does every video from the 1950's have an announcer and music that sound the same? Funny to watch this. I live in Hawaii and worked in the park for a few years...used to drive by Kilauea Iki all the time.
