MAMACHISMO

The scholars investigated the role of women in our communities. They titled their work 'mamachismo' because they found that mothers often equip young men as machistas. They are interested in understanding how oppression towards women plays out and how children are gendered to act and behave a certain way within the family. It was a very long and complicated process and the result of countless hours, sweat and tears on behalf of these amazing youth.
