We cannot say for sure whether this is the case. I highly doubt it...This is not an "all or none trait" in all likelihood but is controlled by many genes...




2) Full DNA testing/genome sequencing has been done on both the populations. This sequencing/testing shows the genes for the cecal valves are in both populations but they are "turned off" in the "parent" population.



Again, we cannot say; all we know is that the new population all of a sudden has cecal values, but the parent population does not; the genetic mechanism is unknown.



Finally in your article you mentioned that ...



"These valves are similar in overall appearance and struc-

ture to those found in [other] herbivorous lacertid[s]"



... could you help me to identify these other herbivorous Lacertids.


lizards such as Gallotia gallotia on the Canary islands




So I have been doing research into these questions and have read your article, but I'm still having trouble getting something solid. If you can answer, offer advice or direction it would be great. These claims creationist claims are frustrating because the refuse to cite a source.

Keep in mind that they will always shift away from ANY answer; the proof for evolution is overwhelming; if they have not accepted it by now, its likely that they never will

Do you know what a mitochondria is? Its a cellular organ which converts food to energy. Basically the stomach of a cell.

This is not the nucleus, which contains the chromosomes which are the recipe (the term you like to use) of everything in that organism.

To use the recipe analogy, you're trying to tell me that my Grand Slam breakfast is identical to your shepards pie because their mashed potatoes are identical.

The mitochondria has separate DNA from the nucleus.

Wrong. The Cambrian explosion is a great example of explosive (pun intended) radiation due to rapid changes in biotic and abiotic factors such as increases in dissolved oxygen in the seas, evolutionary arms races between predators and prey, and so on. The Cambrian also shows a variety of transitions in several lineages such as the first trilobites, chordates, and anomalocarids. This is also another example of evidence against creation.

You have been shown time and time again that the paper is talking about mitochondrial DNA and not chromosonal DNA...and you refuse to accept it and continue to spread lies. Lying for your god must please your god.
