A very late empty coal train accelerates through Middletown on the Royalton Branch. The two tracks at the left are the Amtrak Keystone Line. At 1:04 you'll see a jet making a hard right turn as it approaches Harrisburg International Airport, which is behind the camera.

  • Is harris tower to the right?

  • nope, HARRIS is about 10 miles to the north

  • Why does NS run up the Royalton branch instead of staying on the Port Road? Do you think Amtrak will ever build a new station next to the airport, like they said they were? Nice vid, good job!

  • Some coal trains and all intermodal trains (24M/23W) use it so they can bypass Enola and fuel up on the fuel pad in Harrisburg. Plus, the intermodal yards are on the Harrisburg side of the river, and 24M/23W do some switching there.
