Perfect Sacrifice written and sung on this video by Annie Karto, Catholic Singer/songwriter from Treasure Island FL.

The Catholic doctrine of the Real Presence asserts that in the Holy Eucharist, Jesus is literally and wholly present—body and blood, soul and divinity—under the appearances of bread and wine.

From the Church's early days, the Fathers referred to Christ's presence in the Eucharist. The Bible is forthright in declaring it (cf. 1 Cor. 10:16-17, 11:23-29; and, most forcefully, John 6:32-71).

"When [Christ] gave the bread he did not say, This is the symbol of my body, but, This IS my body. In the same way, when he gave the cup of his blood he did not say, This is the symbol of my blood, but, This IS my blood; for he wanted us to look upon the [Eucharistic elements] after their reception of grace and the coming of the Holy Spirit not according to their nature, but receive them as they are, the body and blood of our Lord. We ought . . . not regard [the elements] merely as bread and cup, but as the body and blood of the Lord, into which they were transformed by the descent of the Holy Spirit" -- (Catechetical Homilies 5:1 [A.D. 405])

  • Beautiful song and video, so filled with love for our Lord and gratitude for His sacrifice and the gifts of His Body and Blood, especially for "the least" of His brothers and sisters. Thank you, Lord, and thank you Annie Karto and themaineman. God bless you.

  • Thank you for your genuine comments. God's abundant blessings be always with you.

  • Sorry. I know disciples is spelled wrong in the video, but I don't want to take it down for the one 'mispilt' word. :) God bless. Jim

  • Hebrews 10....."And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, WHICH CAN NEVER TAKE AWAY SINS: But this man, after He had offered ONE SACRIFICE for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; From henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. For by ONE OFFERING He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Now where remission of these is, THERE IS NO MORE OFFERING FOR SIN."

  • So God sacrificed his son (who is also God some how) to him self, then was brought back 3 days later? Thats not much of a sacrifice if you ask me.

  • Thanks for the inspiring video. Let us encourage one another to worship Our Lord more faithfully in His humble eucharistic state, more and more each day. He wishes to live in us an transform the world in Him.

"Do you want many graces? Go and visit the Blessed Sacrament often. Do you want few graces? Visit the Blessed Sacrament rarely. Do you want none at all? Then never pay a visit to the Blessed Sacrament," - St. John Bosco
