To be honest, School should not preach ANY philosophy over another. They should instead give the background, and facts(that means truth and reality), and let people themselves work out which they believe is more beneficial. As it is now there are many kids who either don't care, or have been misled when concerning Socialism

I told him that France had tried in the past everything he had just said and failed with record unemployment and record high debt. I learned these concepts through my own experiences and staying well informed through various sources. I often hear teachers in today's classrooms telling kids that Socialism isn't bad, but that it just hasn't been done right yet. Tell me, Who said "Five Days from now we will findamentally change America"? Obama. Well Enjoy your change America, here comes the change.

Hi I'm the kid in the video. I didn't get taught these concepts in school. Quite the contrary, last year I spent a good portion of my class time in my A.P. U.S. History class debating my teacher on whether or not Socialism and taxing the rich was good for America. I ended up telling him that he, as a history teacher, should know that the point of learning history is so that you don't repeat it.

Thanks for the info. I'm glad our schools are still teaching these concepts.
