analog is and always will be far more reliable and better than digital. on my analog tv i get all the channels perfectly. but when i use free to air dtv, my pc, cars driving past my house, switches and my mobile interfere with the signal. and theyre ridding the uk of all analog systems and selling offthe bands. BIG mistake!

Problem extends to any reception system, even Digital ready TVs will still get 'freeze frame'.

ah, yes. the days when digital tv sucked

@hakemon then what u use to view tv?

comcast said you dont have to do nothing,,, not true,,they give you a comcast digital tuner, even if you have a digital TV ,,,, a friend of mine got a $400 dollar all digital TV a month ago and he had to install a comcast box , and he's on limited cable package,,that package is almost $20.00 a month.
how sad,, but oh well, i'm with comcast and i will wait till all my 28 channels are removed by them then i'm going to cancel them and try this idea in this video.

You can't update the firmware on a DTV converter box.
You also can't expect a firmware update to fix bad DTV reception.

@hakemon u connected the convertor box to ur mac?
Jean0987654321 2 years ago
Yes, but that has nothing to do with how the reception is received, because the Mac just acts like an ANALOG TV, the converter box still does what it normally does, and acts the same on a regular TV.

These are considered the best DTV tuners.
But this is a nature of MPEG2, if the stream is weak, audio cuts out, so does the picture. With analog, you could atleast still see and hear the picture.
