Ahhh, Hootie and the Blowfish.... The soundtrack to my 90's! Most people will never acknowledge that "Hootie" is just closet country music!! Well, it was closet back then, but now they perform country as a dedicated format. Either way, that's OK with me because it is simply awesome -even now still!

@DriveInTake Yeah, country is only good when it's done by a black dude. It's sort of the opposite for Rap. Yeah, since this song was around the time of the Alternative bloom boom, I guess you could call it Alternative, but I don't know, any rock now a days can be called that, because mainstream rock is almost completely dead.

Rock, mostly. You could argue a couple different genres. Though Darius Rucker is country now.
