Originally sang by Tommy Edwards in 1958, this song was a HUGE jukebox hit single for Jerry Vale in the early 70's. It's a PERFECT song for Jerry Vale's vocal style. Can't wait for JV's version to become available on stereo CD.

  • I loved the Tommy Edwards original, but I have to say that this recording surpasses the original. Jerry Vale is superb.

  • I like Jerry Vale a lot, and of course he does a good job on this, but I think Tommy Edwards really owns this song.

  • what a gift

  • LOVE IT!

  • A good version from Jerry Vale. Cass Elliot had the voice and she sand her heart out on her version, my favorite one of this oft-recorded song. Thank you for this!

  • @carl22069 Please find more versions for this song watching my channel RHYTHMS AND STYLES. Thanks.

  • Jerry Vale did a great a job on this classic. If he recorded this version in the 1970's, he would've done an even better job on it in say , the late 1950's , early 1960's. We're all familiar with the Tommy Edwards version, so we tend to be loyal to that version, but Jerry's version is still excellent and in my opinion, is much better than the Nat King Cole version and a few other versions that have been recorded over the years.

  • ... originally recorded by "Satchmo" Lewis Armstrong ... I have it on an old 78 disc ...

  • Nice rendition by Jerry Vale! Even Tommy Edwards will agree.

  • Amongst the reasons to use mp3ify - you can preview the audio on the same page

  • I think this recording lacks the same peaceful and soft tone the orignal had, but this one is still really good,

  • @NYDutch1968

    I agree with u 100%
