Peter David is beginning to sound just as bitter as Chris Claremont. As for it being just "a hobby", if a publisher is going to charge 3.99 for a book it better be something of quality not a half assed attempt to complete a story obligation. The comics industry thrives when the stories and art are of a higher calibur and engage readers. Peter's comments condem him and would condem the industry to being just a bunch of irrelevant, meat grinding, run of the mill ,heard it all before storytellers.
Hehe, ok I just downloaded the issue. And I can now see why it's silly. The whole comic is trying to be serious, with all this Zarda business, Capt. America giving serious texts to Tony Stark. Before Hulk comes in being naked, the issue could've been taken seriously and given people the wrong impression.
But when Hulk comes, the issue becomes ridiculously funny.
is it just me or is Peter David really bitter and kind of a dick during this show? maybe I am wrong, but he just keeps pickering again and again about the same topic's...
his point being "don't be so serious about it, it's just being silly!" .... That's not the point!! If it was actually funny and crazy and whatnot (like, let's say Family Guy or Deadpool), sure, why not, but this is just stupid. If this was for free, sure, be silly as much as you want, but if you charge 3.99 for the book, please, make a funny book, not a "silly" book.
