My homemade Canadian open back woody banjo - Hand crafted by my best friend Dennis Rose on Addenbrook Island BC. I just put some new lightweight stainless GHS strings on her and I'm getting her tuned up before I get some zz's. It's late, so I'm not doing much with her (not to mention being downright out of practice to the point of having to learn everything all over again). Anyway, I'll let her settle overnight and tune her again tomorrow and if I remember how to pick a tune, I will.
That's a gorgeous banjo! I've never seen anyone use those woods before. I've been looking for a luthior to make me a banjo mandolin. Cant wait to see you do some pickin and grinnin sis!
