The vocals just floats in the air like a fragile feather. Eventhough I was born in the 80's, artists like these are the reasons why Im discovering the beauty of the art of opera.

No one can hold that note like her. This is sheer brilliance.

@Iareto ?? Nice try but your opinion does not count. This lady is world class which is so far out of your opinion.

@tagliavini Those are the three who disliked her above.

Forever amazed by this singer. A true diva among divas!!! I see above that three disliked this. Apparently you three are musical idiots or simply tone deaf or possibly another reason? Only YOU can answer that.

Forever amazed by this singer. A true diva among sopranos!!!

Once you hear Leontyne's version its really really really hard for any soprano to match that. Is just that her version is famous & there is a reason 4 that.
I think Angela Gheorghiu version is cool too - One needs a bit of a DIVA persona to sing Verdi lol
-
Personally I prefer Caballe or Vaness in this aria.
BUT Price sings really great! Wonderful, I have to say, and I love it, even if I'm not her biggest fan. Bravissima!

nobody floats that b like her...
Impecable, dramática y musicalmente. Preciosa voz oscura, expresiva a tope, emisión perfecta. Qué placer!

The conductor looks so cool during the final 'maledizione'. :D
Along with the 1958 Tebaldi (sounds like a wine, lol), this is probably the best Pace in recording history.
IMO, at least.
