Hmm the song 'leaf ripped it on sounds like a New Orleans cut - I cuold be wrong, its so distorted but it sure sounds like the marching bands down in NO.

TOp Rock and Up Rock are a bit different, the footwork on display here reminds me more of Jazz Steps (Tap and Soft shoe) and Latin Steps... Top rock and Up rock are a bit less intricate... very little heel toe in Top or Up rock which also very different from one another... I think you mean top rock (the shit cats do before they go down to the groud) while uprock is more like a mock battle...

The term house music is from chicago from the term Wherehouse music which was later shortened to house music. But that style of dance music as a club music was pioneered in NYC - the Dj at the WHerehouse was from the NYC house scene.
The dance on the vid is both Chicago style at points and NYC style but it's mainly Caleaf style and Terry Style to be honest.

Too many tricks to be taken seriously. You wanna play the court jester, you had best be a Gene Kelly, Fred Aistaire or better.
